This apple cinnamon porridge is one of my favorite breakfasts. Especially in colder weather it’s a warming breakfast, but I’ll eat it throughout the summer months as well. The options for toppings are unlimited, for this recipe I’ve chosen apples sautéd with cinnamon and a little maple syrup.
Ingredients (1 portion): 50g oats, 150ml milk of your choice, 1 medium apple, 0,5 tsp cinnamon, salt, butter, maple syrup
Recipe: simmer the oats with the milk and a pinch of salt on medium heat for at least 5-10 minutes | stir from time to time so they don’t stick to the bottom | cut the apple into bite-sized pieces | melt some butter in a small pan and sauté the apple until soft | add some cinnamon | assemble oats and apple and finish with a drizzle of maple syrup
