Scallion Pancakes

Scallion pancakes are the perfect combination of crispy, flaky, and savory. Made from a simple dough and layered with fresh green onions, they turn golden and aromatic as they fry in the pan. Done in under 30 minutes, they’re a perfect weeknight snack.

Ingredients: wheat flour | hot water | scallions, thinly sliced | oil | five-spice powder | salt

Recipe: mix flour with hot water and knead for several minutes until smooth | cover and rest for 30 minutes | divide dough into portions and roll out thinly | brush with oil and sprinkle with five-spice powder, salt and scallions | roll into a log, coil into a round pancake and flatten gently | fry in a skillet with some oil until golden | serve with soy sauce
